Before becoming a developer, I worked in-and-around restaurants of different sizes, shapes and flavours. Some of them still exist! In 2011, I took my final restaurant-themed position as the communications and social media head for a nationwide chain, and it was in this role that I started dabbling in HTML. Quite soon after writing my first
<h1> tag, I decided to learn how to code - I made the career jump to web development in 2013.
